The goal is to speak, read and write French in a friendly setting thanks to our professionally trained French teachers, all graduates in teaching French as a foreign language. You will learn about France and its language through modern methods and specific handbooks according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), in classes from level A1 to level C2.

Our carefully selected host families are pleased to show you around Brittany and have you discover the whereabouts, but also learn about you and your culture. In order to benefit from you stay, the number of students per family is limited. During your stay, you will have plenty of opportunities to learn French during meals, walks, visits and more…If you choose to come learn French at CIEL, your host family will pick you up at the airport or the train station upon your arrival, if you contacted them a week ahead. Housing in host families start on Sunday afternoon or evening and end on Saturday morning. Any late or early arrival can be arranged with CIEL.

Some facilities are shared: bathroom; toilets, kitchen (for breakfast only, bring your own cookware and dishes), laundry room (washer, dryer, ironing table), study rooms, bicycle park, phone booth, and TV room.
