I really enjoyed my time at French in Normandy, and I think I improved my french quite a lot. The teachers are in general very friendly and helpful. They do a test for everyone at the beginning to place you in the right level class, but they are very understanding if you want to change up or down.

I did a homestay (which was great - highly recommended!) and was lucky because it was walking distance from the school (which is in the St Severe area, not the centre of Rouen) but there is quite a lot of public transport to the school and it's a 15 min walk from the school to the centre.

The regular course involves 3 hours/day in the mornings of structured classes. I did the intensive course, which involves a further 2 hours in the afternoon, but the afternoon classes were more relaxed, often involving games, internet research, videos, so I don't think I learnt as much from them as from the morning sessions (although they did allow me to practise conversation more).

Overall, I would definitely recommend French in Normandy - and Rouen is a very pretty little city.

Pendant qu'ils m'aident. ils changent ma vie... donc je peux pas oublier ce qu'ils m'aident...

I really enjoyed my stay at French In Normandy.

I arrived with a very basic level of French, and left with a useful level of day to day conversational French which will be perfect for travelling in the future.

The school is clean and the teaching rooms are comfortable. They provide free internet and have a common room for eating meals.

The Teachers were always friendly and welcoming. The students were likewise welcoming and it was a pleasant atmosphere to spend the summer. I have made many new friends during my stay.

Class sizes are small, never more than 8, which allows lots of talking and listening.

Activites are organised for most of the week, including excursions to local museums, beaches, towns and workshops. My favourite workshop was making Macarons and a visit to a cheese making farm.

The only real let down is that the school is located on the more commercial side of Rouen, but it was only a 15min walk and 3 metro stops to the picturesque old town.
