The Centre for Polish Studies is a school of Polish language organising courses in Warsaw, Sopot and Cracow. Our mission is to help foreigners get to know not only Polish, but also Poland: we believe that language, although it is key to understanding a country and its people, is not enough – therefore, we also teach our students culture, economy and history of Poland.

The regular intensive group course is for those who have enough energy to spend more time learning Polish. This is the most popular course in our offer. We open new groups at the beginning of each month. Classes are twice a week 135 minutes each time (3x45minutes). The course consists of 72 lessons.

Intensive 2,3,4-week group courses are organized throughout the year. We start each course on first Monday of each month. Lessons are everyday from Monday to Friday, they start in the morning at 9 a.m. This is a general Polish language course, aiming at overcoming communication barriers and improving the students' knowledge of the Polish language and culture in a short period of time. The course also features a cultural afternoon and weekend program comprised of team-building meetings, sightseeing trips and cultural events (films, concerts, galleries, discussions - depending on the students' interests and requests). Students may be asked to cover the costs of participation in some of the events (e.g. entrance fees, bus tickets).

Immersion course in Kazimierz Dolny, August 2010. Are you a foreigner in Poland and feel like a fish out of water? Do you want to speak Polish come hell or high water? Do you spend money like water on ineffective classes? If so, we would like to invite you to join us for an intensive week of Polish! Polish Language Immersion Week 23-29 August 2010 This course is designed for all those who have limited time for learning but who would like to improve their language skills, have some fun, and enjoy the beauty of Kazimierz Dolny - the town of artists. Where? The town of Kazimierz Dolny, situated on the Lublin plateau is known because of its rich history, picturesque medieval houses, wonderful architecture and kind climate. Getting to Kazimierz will take you about 1.5 hours from Warsaw. Let's break the ice! Our best teachers have prepared many interesting language games. We are also planning to spend as much time as possible outdoors and we will organise some "open-air" activities. You'll go through fire and water! We would like to focus on improving your communication skills. However, we will also practice grammar, reading and comprehension exercises. Get ready for the following daily schedule: 9.00 - 11.00 11.30 - 13.30 15.00 - 16.30 17.00 - 18.30 Thanks to the everyday routine of regular classes, coffee and lunch breaks during which you'll have no other choice but speaking Polish and spending time with Polish people you will have a real chance for language immersion. Individual courses are designed for professionals who have a limited amount of time available for language training. These courses have been very popular in recent years and are arranged upon request. You will be asked to specify your special requirements. You can request an executive program in an area that interests you (insurance, business Polish, cinema, journalism etc.). The number of lessons a week, dates and times of lessons and length of the course is entirely up to you. You may also choose the location of the classes (e.g. our school, your apartment, your office, etc.).
