Studying for a semester in another country can be a great cultural and academic learning experience. We offer you the opportunity of having academic semester course at our Centre. In the ProBa Academic Semester Abroad program, students become integrated into the way of life and culture of Russia. Students live with a Host Family and attend the Russian Language Course. The course includes serious study of different aspects of the Russian Language: Phonetics, Practical and Theoretical Grammar, Lexicology and Stylistics, and is accompanied by conversational, reading and writing practice. Included in the course fee: transfer from the airport, assessment test, tuition (400 hours) and teaching material, course certificate, information material, tea/coffe during the brakes, free access to the Internet

We offer you the unique opportunity of having highly intensive Russian Language course (4 or 8 weeks) followed by a month or more period of practical work at the school or hospital. Services included in the Program Fee: transfer from the airport, assessment test, tuition and teaching material, course certificate, information material, tea/coffe during the brakes, free access to the Internet, accommodation, working practice.

You should feel free to bring with your materials in your language which pertain to your special needs. The main concept of this Russian language course is that a student spends practically all the time with the teacher and has excellent possibilities for a very serious language practice. This course comprises 20 individual lessons per week. Lessons are given at the teacher's home, where a student lives. The timetable is jointly determined by a student and a teacher. The quality of the course is guaranteed by the educational system of our company. The students may take part in all additional cultural activities offered by our school. Included in the course fee: transfer from and to the airport, entry test, teaching material, 20 one-to-one lessons, course certificate, information material, accommodation by the teacher: single room, Half Board - two meals/day.

This course is specially developed for business people willing to acquire a sufficient knowledge of Russian in a fast and efficient way. Every participant receives a detailed intensive day-by-day programme beforehand so that he can choose those points he considers to be most important. Learn basic conversation skills in only 2 weeks! In this new super- intensive foreign language course you will learn how to speak at a basic conversational level. Classes are taught daily for 8 hours with two different teachers.

Placement Fee: None We have a list of carefully chosen Russian host families in St. Petersburg working for our school. All rooms are personally checked by staff and must meet strict criteria before being included in our database. Each participant is accommodated in a single room having all the necessary conditions for rest and study. Twin and Double Rooms are available on request. There are telephones with international access in all the apartments. The price for accommodation includes two meals - breakfast and dinner. All our host families have apartments in the center and in the neigbourhood to a metro (underground) station. Accommodation with a Russian family is integral part of the language learning experience. This is the most suitable variant for those who are willing to understand spoken Russian perfectly as members of the families know usually a little of a foreign language.

Placement Fee: None The participants have the possibility of living in a Students' Hostel which is located in the centre of St. Petersburg, 1 minute walk to Nevski Prospect. We can accommodate our students in double and single rooms. During the low saison is possible to be accommodated in double room for single use without any extra fee. Meals are not provided by the Hostel, but there are a lot of cafe on the Nevski Prospect. We recommend our Youth-hostel because of centraly location. Living in the heart of the city you'll have more possibilities for rest and sightseeng tours. All the rooms are clean and have necessary conditions for rest and study. 5 rooms are in the block (1/2 etage). The big kithcen, TV - room, duche and WC are common in the block. Participants should specify the preferred variant of accommodation in the enrollment form. We can not always accommodate a student according to his/her desire as in summer, for example, St. Petersburg hotels and hostel / dormitory sometimes have no vacant rooms. Please, inform us of your desire to live in our hostel as earlier as possible.

Good teacher, good group, good family, good course material, good atmosfere, value for money, very helpful! I only come back if I can stay again with my host family - two very nice and interesting people!
I highly recommend this school. High quality educateion at a fair price. Teachers with a real interest in their students, also after school is out. Not only commitment, but realy involvement. Not only a school of Russian Language, but also of Russian life, history and culture.
